What is the downtime for fillers?
No Sauna or steam room
No wearing makeup around the areas of injection
Expect swelling and bruising 48 hours to 1 week after injections. Plan injections within your schedule accordingly. We recommend 2 to 4 weeks before any major event to ensure healing is complete
Ice the area and take Tylenol for comfort
Do NOT massage the area unless instructed by injector
How long will results last?
Undereyes: 12-15 months
Temples, Cheek, Chin & Jawline: 12 months
Naslabial Folds: 9-12 months
Lips: 6-12 months
Am I a candidate for this procedure?
You are NOT a candidate for this treatment if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
On antibiotics, or have taken any in less than 2 weeks before your appointment
Have a neuromuscular disorder
Have had dental work completed in the last week or so
Are travelling in less than 2 weeks
Have had any facials, chemical peels, microneedling or laser treatment on the areas a week prior to your appointment
Are there any pre-treatment instructions?
Avoid alcohol and smoking 24 hours before your appointment.
Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible before the treatment (Aspirin, Vitamin E, St, John's Wort, Omega 3/ Fish Oil, Advil, Mortrin, Aleve or Ibuprofen).
Avoid Caffeinated beverages i.e., coffee, teas, sodas
*Avoiding alcohol or any of the medications above is not mandatory but advised by your injector to decrease bleeding and/or bruising.
